Our Purpose

The Beginning of Bethel Full Gospel Church

In 1985, Apostle Natt J. Friday went to Edinburgh, Scotland on a three-month training program sponsored by the Liberian Telecommunication Corporation. It was there the idea of Bethel Full Gospel Church was birthed.

This church would be led, managed, and solely financed by Liberians. Upon return to Liberia, Apostle Friday decided to spread the word about his vision of Bethel Full Gospel Church. On Sunday, January 17, 1986, at Barnes Foundation School in Lakpazee, Monrovia was held.

There were 17 people including his wife, Margaret Friday and four children. The tithe and offering were $97.00.

Shortly after starting the church, Apostle Natt J. Friday, his wife Margaret, and children immigrated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 1987. He continued with his education and earned Master’s in Theology and Missions from Oral Roberts University.

Upon completion of his degree, Apostle Friday returned to Liberia in December 1990. Unfortunately, it was the start of Liberia’s 14-year civil war, and he was caught in the war for 6 months.

In 1997, the Fridays along with several founding church members started Bethel World Outreach Church in Richfield, Minnesota. Bethel Full Gospel Church have experienced many years of church growth and the church is currently in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
