Missions

The renowned theologian John Stott described mission as an activity of God which comes out of the very nature of God. The living God of the Bible is a sending God. This is what mission is about. Jesus told His disciples and His church: “As the Father has sent me, even so I send you” (John 20:21; 17:18). In a real sense, every Christian is a missionary.

In partnership with our churches in Liberia, Kenya, and South Africa, Bethel Full Gospel Global Ministries is responding to Christ’s call to take His message to all nations. As such, Bethel is intentionally a Great Commission ministry. We engage in ministry in a world with all its problems, suffering, and temptations. Just like our Lord Jesus identified with fallen humanity, we must also identify with the world, “into the world”. This is our mission; this is our calling!

Our strategy in pursuing the Great Commission mandate is to identify key people groups that are least evangelized. In Liberia certain ethnic groups have less Christians than others. For example, eighty percent of the Kru ethnic group are Christians, but only two percent of the Gola ethnic group are Christians. The unreached people concept suggests that in planning our evangelism and church planting strategy we will focus our time and resources on groups that are less evangelized.
